COMPLAINT PROCESS

The Québec Commercial Certification Office's mandate is to promote and maintain ethical relations between businesses and consumers. The QCCO's complaint process allows consumers to save time with regards to resolving disputes at a reasonable fee of $19.95 plus taxes.

QCCO's Certified business do not pay a fee to process complaints. This service is included in their annual fee.

Certified businesses have access to mediation services free of charge. Should the complaint not be resolved, the Québec Commercial Certification Office can refer the parties to a neutral third party for arbitration services. This provides an out-of-court solution that is recognized by the legislation of the province of Québec.
